What’s going on at Donner & Reuschel

Donner & Reuschel AG has been ordered by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) to ensure proper business organization and hold additional capital. The order was issued in a letter dated May 3, 2023, after a special audit revealed that the credit business processes did not comply with the requirements of the Banking Act (KWG).

Donner & Reuschel AG is a German private bank headquartered in Hamburg. It was founded in 1798 and has a long history as a traditional banking institution. The bank offers a range of financial services, including private banking, asset management, investment advisory, and corporate banking. Donner & Reuschel AG caters to both private and institutional clients and aims to provide personalized and comprehensive financial solutions.

The company is thus in violation of the KWG’s requirements for proper business organization. The BaFin’s decision has been legally binding since June 6, 2023.
